Camp Coq is located in northern Haiti near the city of Limbe. Many there do not have the skills to secure a good job and support a family. Some eke out a living by farming and children are often needed to help in the fields. Many children are unable to attend school because their parents are unable to pay for school supplies or school fees. Pastor Rodné Romeus noticed that there were more than 2,000 children living in Camp Coq who had never been to school or heard about Jesus. With the assistance of AMG, Pastor Rodné was able to build a school starting with elementary grades. Each year, Lord willing, he plans to add another grade. Sponsored children receive an education, hot meal, and Bible study every day they attend. Our prayer is that as these children are educated and hear of God’s love they take this into their homes to share with their families the hope found in Christ.
